Got a new camera, a Canon EOS 10D
On the way to Makara Peak this morning I saw a house fire in the City. Up Makara Peak I bumped into Neil who wanted a couple of photos taken.
Chris, Deb and myself went out to ride Dry Creek to Belmont Trig, the weather was perfect the sun was out all was good. Except I led everyone the wrong way, I'm not sure what I was thinking as I have done this route a few times before. But all was good we ended up riding Danzig which Chris and myself had never ridden before and it was mint riding.

Myself and a friend Pete (another Pete :) ) entered a competition on July 4th that was being run thread Vorb. There were many prizes but the 1st prize which was the one we were going for was a KHS Bike. The competition was about doing something on that day and pxting photo updates to Vorb. The Most popular thread as voted by users at the end of the month wins.
We took the approach of trying to ride as many tracks in Wellington as we could in that whole day, we would also get the users of Vorb involved and get them guessing or tracks. It was a great day and all went well, we had a lot of fun even though it rained pretty much non stop all day. Yesterday Debbie and myself did the Powel/ Jumbo Hutt circuit in the Tararuas. This consisted of climbing Mt Holdsworth to the Summit then following the ridge along to Jumbo summit down to the valley floor and then back out to the carpark. We did this in 8 hours with plenty of breaks, so about 7 hours walking.
A very fun weekend, it was Cateye Moonride time again. Our team consisted of Craig, Mikael, Anneke, Chris and myself. We came 16th in our class out of 151 teams and 37th overall.
